Ordinary praise, recommendations, warnings, support-seeking, and necessary disclosures can all circulate through several people without forming a broader reputation pattern. The structure begins when an account is repeatedly redistributed in ways that increase its reach, repetition, apparent consensus, or social durability. Reputation Amplification can carry favorable, unfavorable, or mixed material. A smear campaign is one negative-valence expression of this broader distribution mechanism. When intermediaries carry the reputation frame between relational positions, Reputation Amplification may also function as Triangulation. Repetition can increase the social weight of a reputation frame as its distribution field grows.

Field Guidance

Legitimate information can spread when support, safety, accountability, celebration, recommendation, or practical coordination requires it. Reputation Amplification is different.
