Structural Observation

Within the Narcy Studies Lab framework, Narrative Transfer describes a narrative mechanism that relocates responsibility, motive, or meaning from its original position to another person or event. Reconsidering responsibility may be appropriate when evidence changes. The structure begins when ownership repeatedly moves while the underlying evidence remains unchanged. The initiating action fades, the response becomes the central event, and the person reacting to the original problem is recast as its source. The pattern is not a new perspective. The pattern is ownership moving without the evidence moving with it.

Field Guidance

Healthy review can redistribute responsibility when facts genuinely support a different conclusion. Narrative Transfer is different. Once the pattern becomes visible, changing ownership is no longer viewed as isolated reinterpretation. It becomes part of the Narrative structure when responsibility repeatedly relocates away from observable conduct and toward the person who noticed or responded to it.
