Structural Observation

Within the Narcy Studies Lab framework, Narrative Control describes a narrative mechanism that organizes how events are interpreted inside a larger story. One strong opinion or preferred explanation may be ordinary. The structure begins when competing explanations are repeatedly narrowed until one interpretation becomes dominant. Contradictory details lose weight. Alternative perspectives are treated as confusion, disloyalty, or misunderstanding. The story begins directing how new events are received. The pattern is not the explanation. The pattern is one story becoming the only permitted frame.

Field Guidance

Healthy discussion allows events to be examined from more than one perspective and permits conclusions to change when new information appears. Narrative Control is different. Once the pattern becomes visible, repeated direction of meaning is no longer viewed as isolated persuasion. It becomes part of the Narrative structure when one story consistently determines what counts as relevant, credible, or acceptable.
