Within the Narcy Studies Lab framework,
Narrative Framing describes a narrative mechanism
that shapes interpretation by selecting the context, language, and
emphasis surrounding an event.
Every explanation requires some degree of framing.
The structure begins when the selected frame repeatedly determines
the conclusion before the full event can be examined. Certain facts
are foregrounded, others are minimized, and the chosen language
quietly establishes who appears reasonable, harmful, loyal, or
unstable.
The pattern is not the wording.
The pattern is the frame deciding what the event is allowed to mean.
Field Guidance
Healthy framing helps people organize information while remaining
open to missing context and alternative interpretations.
Narrative Framing is different.
Once the pattern becomes visible, repeated emphasis is no longer
viewed as a neutral storytelling choice. It becomes part of the
Narrative structure when the frame consistently preselects the
meaning and limits independent evaluation.
