Questionable Event
?
Has a conversation, conflict, request, obligation, or emotional exchange repeatedly remained active in a way that preserves interaction or prevents relational disengagement?
The pattern is not continued contact. The pattern is open loops repeatedly preventing disengagement.

Structural Observation
Within the Narcy Studies Lab framework, Engagement Preservation describes a structure in which conversations, conflicts, requests, obligations, or emotional exchanges remain active enough to preserve interaction.
One necessary follow-up, repair conversation, or unfinished task may be ordinary.
The structure begins when open loops, renewed conflict, incomplete closure, or recurring obligation repeatedly reactivate contact and make disengagement difficult.
The exchange stays alive because something is always left unfinished.
Field Guidance
Repair, planning, accountability, collaboration, and caregiving may require continued engagement.
Engagement Preservation is different.
Once the pattern becomes visible, repeated follow-up, renewed exchange, unresolved conversations, and difficulty ending contact are no longer viewed as isolated continuations. They become part of the Supply structure.
